We are pleased to announce that Renee Montgomery of the Atlanta Dream (WNBA) is now part of the PG Sports Team. Montgomery a native of St. Albans, West Virginia and played collegiate basketball at the University of Connecticut. Renee Montgomery is a gifted basketball player which lead her to earn a scholarship at the University of Connecticut to play under legendary coach Geno Auriemma. While at UConn she won the Big East Conference Freshman of Year and was named to All-Big East Conference team multiple times. Most importantly she won the NCAA championship her senior year in 2009 as the UConn Huskies went undefeated at 39-0! "She finished her career in the Top Ten of many categories in the UConn women's basketball record books including No. 1 in games played (150), No. 6 in career points (1,990), No. 6 in FG's (703), No. 4 in 3pt FG's (254), No. 9 in FT's (330), No. 3 in Assists (632), and No. 5 in Steals (266). "I had admired PG Sports work from afar so when Paul Guarino contacted me about working with his team I said yes right away. Since working with PG Sports I have signed numerous sponsorship deals and my brand is continually growing. This is only the beginning." - Renee Montgomery

After her unbelievable career at UConn, Montgomery was drafted in the 1st round and 4th overall pick of the 2009 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. After one season with the Lynx, they traded her to the Connecticut Sun where she would spend her next 5 seasons. As an individual playing for the Sun, she had her best seasons numbers-wise being named an All-Star in 2011 (14.6 ppg & 4.9 apg) and then in 2012 being named the WNBA Sixth Women of the Year. The Connecticut Sun then traded her to the Seattle Storm where she had a brief stint and was then traded back to the Minnesota Lynx. Going back to the Lynx turned out to be great for Montgomery as she went on to win the WNBA Championship not once but twice in 2015 and 2017. Being a free agent at the end of her 2017 championship year she signed a multi-year deal with the Atlanta Dream. In her first season with the Dream, she started all 34 games, broke team records, and helped lead her team to the conference finals. The 2019 season is coming up and Montgomery and the Dream plan to continue where they left off last season! We, at PG Sports, are also looking forward to joining forces to support and work with Renee Montgomery for continued greatness!
