Keshaudas Spence & Jean-Daniel Roussel of the IFL join the PG Sports Team
It is our pleasure to announce that Keshaudas Spence and Jean-Daniel Roussel of the Indoor Football League are now a part of the PG Sports Team. Spence (from Roxbury, MA) is a running back for the Green Bay Blizzard. Roussel (from Pawtucket, RI) is a cornerback also for the Green Bay Blizzard. Being on the same team is something Spence and Roussel are very accustomed to as they also played together at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Spence was an All-American at Sacred Heart, setting multiple records including most rushing yards and 2nd most rushing TD's in school history. The biggest accomplishment was turning the Sacred Heart program around winning back to back Northeast conference champions and reaching the FCS playoffs for the first time in program history. After college, the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars invited him to rookie mini camp. Shortly after Spence got his 1st workout with the Green Bay Packers once things didn't stick with Jacksonville or Washington. After not getting signed by an NFL team Spence wasn't going to give up. He then signed with the Green Bay Blizzard and won the starting job. After 15 games with the Blizzard he had a 2nd workout with the Packers. Spence was moved up to emergency contact and labeled as hybrid with him illustrating more versatility as a running back/full back then the last time with the ability to block and catch out the backfield as well as being a great natural runner. The Packers stated that Spence was someone they'll keep their eye on. Spence is now entering his second season with the Blizzard and is striving for another shot in the NFL.
Roussel was also an All-American at Sacred Heart, setting multiple records including most interceptions in a game, in a season, and in a career. He also helped lead Sacred Heart to back to back Northeast conference champions and reaching the FCS playoffs for the first time in program history. Roussel was invited to the Green Bay Packers rookie mini camp, ironically now playing in Green Bay. He started his IFL career in 2016 with the Billings Wolves and ended the season with the Green Bay Blizzard rejoining his former college teammate Keshaudas Spence. Roussel is setting the bar high this season and hoping for an NFL or CFL shot."Joining PG Sports is an honor since I've watch the company grow to what it is today. One of the best decision's in my life!" - Keshaudas Spence
We, at PG Sports, are also looking forward to joining forces to support and work with Keshaudas and J.D. for continued greatness in 2017! The Green Bay Blizzard season opener is February 17th vs the Cedar Rapids Titans."Joining PG Sports is like hitting a fadeaway 3 to win the Championship for your hometown team." - J.D. Roussel
